The Compassionate Friends of Green Bay is a local chapter of the international organization. They offer friendship and understanding to bereaved families who have experienced the death of a child. They meet monthly for support meetings, offer a bi-monthly newsletter and a website.

We are sponsoring a regional conference to be held in Green Bay, March 7-9, 2008.

Where: Comfort Suites, Green Bay, WI
What: Keynote speaker is Paul Alexander, a nationally recognized Bereavement Counselor, Certified Social Worker, singer and songwriter. He has shared his music and message of hope throughout the United States and Canada. His recordings are used as resource tools by Church Groups, Funeral Homes, Hospices, and Hospitals as well as bereavement support groups and individual caregivers. Paul will be presenting the main workshop on Saturday, March 8, 2008, as well as a workshop on Friday evening, March 7, 2008, and two separate workshops on Saturday, March 8, 2008.
An array of other workshop topics will be available from health issues to ways on how to grieve positively and effectively. The conference has workshops scheduled Friday night and all day Saturday. A dinner on Saturday will be followed with a candlelighting and remembrance ceremony. On Sunday morning, there will be a closing ceremony.
