1st Annual Salute Our Troops Invitational
On Feb. 16th the fire on ice will be hosting our long running invitational race inviting drivers and racing fans from abroad to view and compete in the competitive sport of auto racing on ice. On this day our club will be hosting with a secondary agenda: honoring and supporting this nations armored forces home and abroad. The event will begin at noon with singing of the national anthem, presentation of flags with ceremony, taps and a twenty one gun salute. Racing action to follow with food and refreshments available throughout the day. To round out the event there will be a trophy presentation under the tent with fellowship to follow.
Outside of our driver entry fees being used for race purse all proceeds from days event to be passed on to the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund. A non profit organization with the agenda of supplying continuous aid the men and women injured serving our country and there families affected by their injuries.
