Get Fresh Saturday, a Farmer's Market is now open on Saturdays in February, and March.
Hosted by the Urban Frog, 164 North Broadway, the market products are presented by Keune Authentic Foods.
Produce will include fresh produce such as cilantro, parsley, salad mix, spinach, chard, kale, radishes, and other seasonal fresh produce.
In addition, grass -fed beef, chicken, eggs, organic cheese, and butter will be available along with other organic items.
Hours for the Farmer's Market are 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, 9, 16 and 23 and on March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29. Terry Wojcik, owner of the Urban Frog, noted, "People often think that when the city farmers' markets close, they have to wait for six months to have access to healthy, locally grown foods and equate fresh with summer and fall. This is an exciting opportunity for people to have the community farmer's market experience all year long."
The Urban Frog Deli offers natural gourmet foods, coffees and teas for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They now offer a Family To-Go menu as well as catering. They were established in 2001 and recently relocated to 164 North Broadway.
