Spring Bird Walk: The birds are chirping!
Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 6:30 a.m. and Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 6:30 a.m.
Spring is here, which means you’ll hear a lot more chirping at the Sanctuary. It’s a great time of year to come out to view a variety of Wisconsin birds. This event is free and open to the public. Meet at the parking lot by the Sanctuary Director’s house. Bring binoculars and a field guide and come dressed for the weather.
Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary is a 700-acre urban wildlife refuge featuring live animal exhibits, educational displays, miles of hiking and walking trails and excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. The nature center is open daily from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with trails closing at 4:30 p.m. There is no admission charge. The Sanctuary is located at 1660 East Shore Drive on Green Bay’s east side across from Bay Beach Amusement Park.
