OVER 25 MEN AND WOMEN TO SHAVE HEADS BALD TO RAISE MONEY FOR CHILDHOOD CANCER RESEARCH AT GREEN BAY PREBLE HIGH SCHOOL
What would you look like bald?
Like a hero to kids with cancer, says the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
Over 25 men and women are expected to shave their heads bald to show solidarity to children with cancer and to raise money for childhood cancer research on Saturday, March 15 at 3PM at Green Bay Preble High School.
Those shaving their heads will be enthusiastically cheered on by crowds of friends, doctors, family, nurses, children, and others who have been touched by cancer to further awareness to the fact that pediatric cancer, the #1 disease killer of children, is terribly under-funded.
The St. Baldrick’s Foundation raises money and awareness globally for childhood cancer research through volunteer-driven events that pair great fun with this worthy cause.
Since its inception in 2000, over 46,000 shavees – more than 3,000 women – have shaved their heads at more than 1,200 events, raising over $34 million dollars.
When: Saturday, March 15 3PM – 7PM
Where: Green Bay Preble High School 2222 Deckner Ave. Green Bay, WI 54302
