Join Amy Johnson, the new Director for the Lutheran Office for Public Policy in Wisconsin (LOPPW) for a discussion on the ELCA’s resource guide to the 2008 election cycle.
Event to be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church ELCA at 200 N. Commercial Street, Neenah.  See website (www.stpaulneenah.org) for more information.

“Called To Be a Public Church” provides congregations and Lutheran Christians with information on how churches can be engaged in the voting process.  The resource guide also includes nonpartisan issue briefs on policy matters related to the ELCA social statements.  LOPPW is a ministry of advocacy for the East Central Synod of Wisconsin, the ELCA Church in Society Unit, and the other five ELCA Synods with congregations in Wisconsin.  LOPPW works with congregations, pastors, and bishops to advocate for sound public policy on the state level.

Amy Johnson is a Midwest native and lifelong Lutheran.  She recently moved to Madison from Philadelphia and Washington, DC where she worked as US Senate staff, a lobbyist, and a health care policy consultant.
