Grab your binoculars and head out for a relaxing evening walk in search for birds at the Sanctuary. This event is free and open to the public. Meet at the parking lot by the Sanctuary Director’s house. Bring a field guide and come dressed for the weather. For more information, call the Sanctuary at (920) 391-3671.
The Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary is a 700-acre urban wildlife refuge featuring live animal exhibits, educational displays, miles of hiking, skiing and walking trails and various wildlife viewing opportunities. There is no admission charge for the Sanctuary, which is open to the public daily from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. mid-April through mid-September and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. mid-September through mid-April, with nature trails closing at 4:30 p.m. year-round. The Sanctuary is located at 1660 East Shore Drive on Green Bay’s east side across from Bay Beach Amusement Park.
