Spring’s Wings Birding and Art Festival
Saturday, May 10, 2008 from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Join artists, bird lovers and nature enthusiasts for a fun-filled, family event to showcase the many ways we interact with birds. Browse various art exhibits, participate in hands-on nature crafts, enjoy the sights and sounds of the outdoors on a bird walk, visit with live animals, and enjoy many educational and fun activities throughout the day and into the evening. This event is free and open to the public.
The Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary is a 700-acre urban wildlife refuge featuring live animal exhibits, educational displays, miles of hiking, skiing and walking trails and various wildlife viewing opportunities. There is no admission charge for the Sanctuary, which is open to the public daily from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. mid-April through mid-September and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. mid-September through mid-April, with nature trails closing at 4:30 p.m. year-round. The Sanctuary is located at 1660 East Shore Drive on Green Bay’s east side across from Bay Beach Amusement Park.
