Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue will be hosting an open house at our fire station #35 located at 430 First Street in the City of Menasha on Saturday, April 26, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue has purchased a new Pierce Ultimate Configuration Truck (PUC), which is the latest innovation in fire trucks.  This new vehicle is a rescue/pumper configuration.  The rescue/pumper will carry the standard compliment of engine equipment along with many of our specialty equipment needs, including the Jaws of Life, confined space equipment, hydraulic generator and much more.  This dual-purpose vehicle eliminated the need for two separate vehicles for our department, saving approximately $200,000.  This also reduces maintenance and equipment costs and will make our operations more efficient.  Activities at our open house include a magic show at 11:00 and 1:00 p.m., Jaws of Life demonstration at 12:00 p.m., station tours, viewing of the new truck and other children’s activities.  For more information or questions, please contact Tara Theisen at (920) 886-6200 ext 0.
