White Heron Chorale auditions
White Heron Chorale announces auditions The White Heron Chorale is announcing auditions for prospective members. The 75-voice mixed chorus is comprised of adult men and women from throughout Northeast Wisconsin and performs most concerts at the Lawrence Memorial Chapel. The Chorale is under the direction of Prof. Richard Bjella, the Director of Choral Studies at the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music. Currently the Chorale is looking for a few good men and women-however, there is a need for additional tenors and basses. Those auditioning must prepare one minute of unaccompanied solo material to demonstrate their best musicianship. Those auditioning are also expected to sight-read and sing scales and exercises from musical memory as part of the audition requirements. Audition times are:
May 5 -7:00 to 10:00 PM May 7 - 5:00 - 8:00 PM May 8 - 6:30-9:30 PM

In its 30-year history, the chorale has presented residents of Northeast Wisconsin a wide range of vocal music including jazz, folk, contemporary, classical sacred, musical theatre, madrigal, gospel, spirituals and more. Membership in the White Heron Chorale is open to all qualified area adult musicians who have successfully completed the audition process. The Chorale rehearses Sunday evenings at Kaukauna High School from 5-7:30 pm August 24 through May 16, 2009.
