The National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the MS Society of Canada have joined together to present the North American Education Program, "Hold that Thought! Cognition and MS".
The conference will be held on Wednesday, May 14th, 2008, at 6:30 p.m., at Keweenaw Home Nursing in Calumet.
This program covers critical issues related to the study of MS and cognitive thinking, and features conversations with internationally known experts by video. It is not uncommon for people with MS to complain of losing focus, getting "lost", or having problems remembering the simplest things, commonly known as "MS fog". Much can be done to reduce the impact of this.
Dr. Julie Kirkham, a neuropsychologist from Marquette, will be present to answer questions.
The public is invited free of charge. Handicap accessible building. Refreshments provided.
