Have you ever wondered what it was like to
fight in World War I?
Learn how local soldiers enlisted, trained, and
experienced combat. Learn who kept a pet frog all
through basic training, who survived being bayoneted in
the back, and what it was like to slog through the mud of
no-man’s-land. Brown County has some of the best
records of World War I veterans in the state, and this
presentation will bring some forgotten stories to life!
