FU Point Guard College Rescheduled to June 1
The Finlandia University Point Guard College basketball clinic, originally scheduled for April 12, has been rescheduled.
The basketball clinic will take place Sunday, June 1, 2008, from 12:00 noon to 7:00 p.m., at Finlandia’s Paavo Nurmi Center gymnasium, Hancock.
All athletes who plan to attend, including those who previously registered, should contact Curtis Wittenberg, Finlandia head women’s basketball coach, at 906-487-7214 or curtis.wittenberg@finlandia.edu.
The Point Guard College basketball clinic is designed for the dedicated athlete. It aims to improve leadership, develop fundamentals, and create a deeper understanding of the game.
The clinic will be led by former All-American and 2007 WNBA Indiana Fever draftee, Lyndsey Meddars. A four year starter at Iowa State University, Meddars will teach participants the same skills, fundamentals, and essentials that helped her lead the nation in assists in 2005-2006.
The cost of the clinic is $75 per athlete or $25 per observing coach (includes lunch). Participating athletes must currently be in at least the 8th grade, on up to college. The clinic is limited to 60 athletes.
