For a student athlete, it’s all about: Training harder. Playing better. Getting noticed!
Two top names in the athletic industry have partnered to present Central Wisconsin’s 3rd annual
premier high school football event — the Eastbay SPARQ Football Camp. This one-day event will be
held Saturday, June 21, 2008 from 10am-2pm (9am registration) at DC Everest's Stiehm Stadium,
1000 Machmueller St., Schofield, WI.
Football has changed. You may have noticed. The cuts are quicker, the action is faster, the hits are
harder and the players are more powerful and explosive than at any other time in the game’s history.
To keep up, athletes must commit themselves to training – off and in season – to push beyond perceived
limits, break through physical barriers to become faster, more powerful, more agile, more
instinctive and lightening quick.
SPARQ Training, Protocols and Ratings will help raise the level of athleticism, and raise the level of
the game. This nationally held event provides student athletes the opportunity to work with top
SPARQ Trainers—experts who have trained Division 1 and NFL players. Camp participants will get
professionally tested in the 40-yard dash, peak-power vertical jump, 20-yard shuttle run and
kneeling powerball toss. Participants will then receive their SPARQ Rating and can camopare how
they stack up against not only the best players in Wisconsin, but in the entire country. The SPARQ
Rating is becoming the SAT of athletic ability — the perfect tool for athletes to measure what they
need to get to the next level.
The Eastbay SPARQ Football Camp is FREE of charge, but space is limited. The event is open to
high school football players graduating in 2009, 2010 or 2011 (recently graduated seniors are not
eligible). Participants can compete individually and/or bring enough teammates to compete in the
team category (a group of 5 individuals). Prizes will be awarded to the best individual score and to
the school that posts the best average team score.
An on-site “Shoe Try-On” with the latest Nike footwear will be presented again at this year’s camp.
Athletes can “field test” the shoes during onsite drills to see how they like the shoe’s performance.

Event Overview
What is a SPARQ Rating? The SPARQ Rating is a powerful tool for measuring overall athleticism.
The five building blocks of superior athleticism include Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction and
Quickness—or SPARQ. The results of four or five simple tests are combined into a single score,
which shows athletes (and their coaches and trainers) exactly where they stand and where they can
improve their performance through training.
Why is this camp so important? SPARQ’s mission is to enable every athlete to reach their
potential using natural, scientifically based training methods. This camp introduces athletes in
Wisconsin to the tools, information and tests needed to reach that potential. For coaches, it’s an
opportunity to get standardized testing for players in a professional setting, plus learn valuable tips
on football training to help improve team performance. For players, it’s a chance to get their SPARQ
Rating, see where they stand athletically and learn about SPARQ Training from the experts. It introduces
athletes in Wisconsin to the tools, information and tests needed to reach their potential.
The SPARQ Rating of every participating player at the Eastbay SPARQ Football Camp will be posted
at SPARQtraining.com, StudentSportsFootball.com and StudentSports.com. This event will also be
covered by Wisconsin Preps Illustrated and local media.
