A workshop entitled “Researching the Need for a Traumatic Brain Injury Group Home in the UP” will be held on June 6, 2008 at the Ramada Inn in Marquette, MI from 1:00 – 5:00 sponsored by Superior Rehabilitation Services and Comprehensive Professional Services.
This half day workshop will include a discussion on the need for a group home in the UP specifically for individuals with traumatic brain injury (TBI). Currently there is no group home that focuses specifically on the needs of an individual with TBI here in the UP. Family members, anyone caring for, working with, or interested in the needs of TBI individuals, will want to attend this important and informative workshop.
Also included in the workshop with be presentations from the Marquette General Hospital Neuro Rehabilitation program, the TBI Service & Prevention Council, MI Brain Injury Association, Michigan Rehabilitation Services, and the Superior Alliance for Independent Living.
