Several world premieres and music from every corner of the
globe will be celebrated in the Lawrence University Choirs’ 10th annual
Around the World Concert. The Viking
Chorale will sing a medley of 11 national anthems representing the
nationalities of the choir’s members. The Cantala women's choir
portion of the program is highlighted by the world premiere of a work commissioned
by the ACDA Women's
Composition Consortium. The
Concert Choir will explore music from the Republic
of Georgia to Spain as well
as a piece featuring guest artists cellist David
Bjella and violinist Steven Bjella.
