UDM Law Offers Free Veterans Advice
The State of Michigan has given a state grant to the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law (UDM Law) to create a freestanding veterans clinic and launch a statewide tour of its Mobile Law Office (MLO) which will provide legal assistance and representation to thousands of low-income veterans throughout Michigan.
The MLO is touring the Upper Peninsula during the week of June 2. Stops are as follows:
The tour will stop in Sault Sainte Marie on Monday, June 2, at American Legion Post #3, 3 Legion Drive, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The tour will stop in Marquette on Tuesday, June 3, at American Legion Post #44, 700 West Bluff Street, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The tour will stop in Houghton on Wednesday, June 4, at Michigan Technological University, 1400 Townsend Drive, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The tour will stop in Iron Mountain on Thursday, June 5, at Dickinson County Veterans Service Office, 800 Crystal Lake Road, Suite 100, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The tour will stop in Escanaba on Friday, June 6, at Comfort Suites, 3600 Ludington Street, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The MLO will then head to American Veterans #123, 1315 N. Lincoln Road, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
