Event Description: Summer Theatre: Faith Healer. Milwaukee’s Next Act Theatre presents the moving drama, Faith Healer, by acclaimed Irish playwright Brian Friel. The Fantastic Francis Hardy—Faith Healer—for years has trudged the back roads of Scotland and Wales, peddling miracles. With Grace, his long-time lover, and Teddy, their show-biz manager, Hardy returns home to Ireland in the hope of restoring his genuine but elusive power to heal. Grace, Teddy, and Frank tell their collective story, weaving a haunting and magnificent tale of mystery, devotion, and the power of belief.
