2008 RED BULL AMA U.S. ROOKIES CUP COMING TO ROAD AMERICA JUNE 6-8
International line-up of teen racers ready to race during AMA Superbike Weekend
WHAT: The Red Bull AMA U.S. Rookies Cup series, in its inaugural year, was created by Red Bull as a platform for showcasing young roadracing talent between 13 and 16 years old at AMA Superbike weekends. Seven states and six nations are represented amongst the 23 riders. The Rded Bull AMA U.S. Rookies Cup runs concurrently with the European-based Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, now in its second year.
In addition, the top 10 riders from the AMA and MotoGP Rookies Cups will square off in the special “Riders Cup” at the Red Bull Indianapolis GP, with a rematch on European soil at the Valencia Grand Prix in October 2008.
WHO: The newest generation of motorcycle road racing stars has arrived, as 23 young racers are competing in the 2008 Red Bull AMA U.S. Rookies Cup series. The riders, who are between 13 and 16 years old, represent seven states and six countries, including 14 year-old Jake Cunningham from Kimberly, Wisconsin.
1993 500cc Grand Prix World Champion Kevin Schwantz is the series rider coach and provides guidance to all the riders.

Saturday, June 7: Red Bull Rookies Cup qualifying*, 1:20- 1:50 p.m.
Sunday, June 8: Red Bull Rookies Cup race*, 10:25 a.m. (8:15a.m. Practice)
*Rookies will be available for interviews all weekend
