Have A Dad’gum Good Time On The Ranch on June 7 & 8
Whoa there pardners! This is Ace Montana sendin’ out a howdy-do about the big Sesquicentennial shindig comin’ up this Saturday and Sunday to do a big “Ya-hoo!” for Ripon’s 150th birthday!
Round up them young-uns, tell the Missus to gussy up and put on her best bonnet, and git your team hitched up. Head on over to Cedar Ridge Ranch for some free family doin’s out on the ranch.
You’ll be meetin’ and talkin’ with the cowboys, Voyageurs, and pioneer-folk, and getting’ the chance to poke around their camp set-up. There’ll be fine shows of horseback riding, trick ropin’, and some dad’gum shootin’ fun too. Don’t miss out on our cowgirl breakin’ her wild mustang, either.
Us cowboys are set to perform at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. At 6:00 p.m., stick around for the Barn Dance…no telling who’s gonna be kicking up their heels, but the music by the Rolling Mills String Band will be foot stompin’ fine.
There is more fun lined up for Sunday. Yup. More cowboys, horses, ridin’ & ropin’. Starts up at noon agin’. Our pard “Lil’ Rev” will be around all afternoon with his old-time story telling, singin’ and playin’ music.
Did I tell you that there’ll be lots of food? Yup, with a little spendin’ money you can chow down on a real Bison Burger and some other vittles, too. Maybe they’ll have some of them Wisconsin brats. Anyway, there’s a bunch of folks getting together to put on this shindig for Ripon. Best of all, ain’t no one gonna hog-tie ya for any loot to come on out to take a gander. So you just head on over and see how things used ta be round about 1858.
So there you go – Saturday come out from noon – 8 p.m. Cowboys at 2; Barn Dance with music by the Rolling Mills String Band from 6-8 with lots of fun in between. Sunday come out from noon – 5 p.m. Cowboys will be hootin’ and hollerin’ starting at noon, followed by “Lil Rev” folk musician – you’ll like that feller; he’s got some real yarns to tell.
If’n I forgot to tell you something, give a call on one of them new fangled tel-ee-phones over to the Ripon Chamber office at 920-748-6764, and we’ll straighten you right out. See ya’ out at the ranch!
