Gwinn Centennial to host Old Timers Fast Pitch Softball Game
Gwinn will play the Negaunee Old Timers as a part of the Centennial week celebration on Friday, July 11, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at the Gwinn Softball Diamond located behind Jerry’s Wilderness Restaurant in New Swanzy.
Gwinn will feature players from Peterson’s and Jack’s Softball Teams that played many years in the Marquette County Softball Leagues. Players include:
Pitchers – Bill Stine, Byron Hewitt, Ron Libey
Infielders – Terry Sayen, Jim Ghiardi, Bill Koski, D. J. Erickson
Catchers – Paul Erickson, Dan Fleury
Outfielders – Barry Mussatto, Mike Leppaluto, Paul Cazzanigi, George Ferguson, Henry St. Aubin, Gary Erickson and Steve Wills
This will be the first time some players will have played in the past twenty years.
Negaunee will feature a strong team that has been playing in Marquette the past few years.
Come out and enjoy some good old fashioned fast pitch softball action!
