The Rainbow Classic, (a run for Children with Cancer) will be held Saturday, July 26, 2008   at Green Isle Park in Allouez.  The 2 mile walk/run and the 5 mile run begins at 8:30 a.m., with pre-race check-in and registration beginning at 7:15 a.m.

 

There are male and female divisions, 8 and under, 9-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over, as well as wheelchair.  A trophy will be awarded for first place, medals for second and third, and ribbons for fourth and fifth.  Runners and walkers can save time and avoid congestion by pre-registering:  Mail (call for form and address), Online at www.active.com, or Friday evening, July 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Green Isle Park.  Registration forms are available by calling: (920) 465-6826 or (920) 337-0782 or hawai@aol.com or Kathy@ourkidswithcancer.org

Cost is $15 for age 15 and over on or before July 21, $18 after July 23.  $10 Child age 14 and under, with a special family rate (immediate family only) of $40 on or before July 21 and $50 after July 21.  Special Rainbow Classic shirts will be provided every participant.  Proceeds will be used by Families of Children with Cancer, Inc. to provide assistance and special activities for area children with cancer and their families.   We take great pride in the fact that less than 2 per cent of the money raised by our group is spent on administrative costs.  That means that 98% of our funds directly benefit our children with cancer.
