SESSION 1- Living with Grief
An introduction to the program: You will learn more about what living with grief is like, why you shouldn’t be ashamed of your grief and why you shouldn’t rush your healing.
SESSION 2- The Journey of Grief
You will discover what to expect along your journey of grief; how grief can ambush you; how men and women respond differently to grief issues and how each journey is unique.
SESSION 3- The Effects of Grief
Grief can be debilitating to some but learn what is normal and discover practical ways to find comfort.
SESSION 4- When Your Spouse Dies Sunday, Sept 14, 2008 3 – 5 PM
Helps you think through critical issues involved in healing from the loss of a loved one, especially a spouse. It will help prepare you to face life’s realities without your loved one’s presence.
SESSION 5- Your Family and Grief Sunday, Sept 21, 2008 3 – 5 PM
This session shares how to keep your family afloat when all members are drowning in grief while still finding help for yourself.
SESSION 6- Why? Sunday, Sept 28, 2008 3 – 5 PM
Discover how to find the responses to your “Why” questions and the encouragement to begin asking other questions as well.
SESSION 7- The Uniqueness of Grief Part 1 Sunday, Oct 5, 2008 3 – 5 PM
Explore how the cause of death and the personal responses from you affects your grief. Topics addressed include suicide, long-term illness murder and false guilt.
SESSION 8- The Uniqueness of Grief Part 2 Sunday, Oct 12, 2008 3 – 5 PM
Relationships, past and present, affect one’s grief. This session helps you to address insensitive comforters and unresolved conflict with a deceased loved one.
SESSION 9- God’s Prescription for Grief Sunday, Oct 19, 2008 3 – 5 PM
The bereaved are often overwhelmed by the advice they receive from others. Learn why it’s important
to listen to what God has to say about pain and suffering.
SESSION 10- Stuck in Grief or Moving On? Sunday, Oct 26, 2008 3 – 5 PM
It’s easy to get stuck along the journey of grief. This session explains how to keep moving on the path
of healing.
SESSION 11- Top 20 Lessons of Grief, Part 1 Sunday, Nov 2, 2008 3 – 5 PM
Those who have walked the journey of grief will share what they’ve learned and how they have grown from their grief experience.
SESSION 12- Top 20 Lessons of Grief, Part 2 Sunday, Nov 9, 2008 3 – 5 PM
We unveil the most significant lessons learned during your season of grief.
SESSION 13- Heaven Sunday, Nov 16, 2008 3 – 5 PM
You will be given practical advice on how to tap into, and hold onto, the source of hope in this disappointing world.
