Contest Will Decide Official Ripon “Reindeer”

Santa Claus visited Ripon recently and commissioned our city to appoint an official Ripon “reindeer”.  As part of Ripon’s Christmas Open House the Ripon Chamber is asking for people to submit photos of their pets dressed up as one of Santa’s reindeer.  The winning photo will be displayed in area businesses November 14 & 15.  The winning pet will be declared Ripon’s official “Reindeer” and will receive a portrait from Memory Photography as their prize.  Photo entries should be emailed to chamber@ripon-wi.com or sent to the Ripon Chamber office no later than Tuesday, November 11. 

Ripon’s Christmas Open House is the kick-off to the holiday season. Other activities going on that weekend include Santa Claus coming to town with his reindeer and carriage rides through Historic Downtown Ripon on Friday evening, courtesy of Olsen’s Mill and Golden Rule Community Credit Union.  Shoppers will also be able to register that weekend only to win one of 45 gifts, donated by Chamber member businesses, to be given out in the 45 days leading up to Christmas.
