Whatever Shall We Do with Blackacre? Four Charitable Alternatives
Financial, legal and real estate professionals can learn how to facilitate the largely underused charitable option of donating real estate by attending a presentation sponsored by the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. June 4 at Riverview Country Club in
Appleton.
Russ Howes, vice president for legal affairs and planned giving at the University of Wisconsin Foundation, will review giving techniques including outright gifts, bargain sales and charitable remainder trusts in his presentation “Whatever Shall We Do with Blackacre? Four Charitable Alternatives.” Blackacre is a longstanding law school term for referring to a fictitious piece of property.
The program costs $15 per person and is open to the public. Registration is available at www.cffoxvalley.org or by calling (920) 830-1290.
