Help celebrate our rich dairy heritage by kicking off June Dairy month with a breakfast on June 4, 2009 at JW’s Place in Slovan. The breakfast buffet of eggs, cheese, sausage, bacon and much more will be served from 6:30 am to 8:00 am and the program will be begin at 7:15.
The keynote speaker will be the 62nd Alice in Dairyland. This will be one of her first stops after being inducted as the new Alice in Dairyland. Alice in Dairyland is a full-time public relations professional employed by the DATCP Division of Agricultural Development for a one-year term. Each year, Alice travels more than 40,000 miles throughout the state and nation, promoting Wisconsin products to audiences of all ages and types. She educates the media, youth and civic groups about the many facets of the state's agricultural industry. Along with the keynote speaker, the host families for the 2009 Kewaunee Dairy Brunch will be introduced. The Schleis Farms, LLC. (Steve & Marvin Schleis and their families) will be hosting this year’s breakfast.
