Children and their families can learn all about butterflies at the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary during Animal Stories for Preschoolers on
Monday, July 6 at 10:00 a.m. and again
Monday, July 20 at 1:00 p.m. Sanctuary staff will read the stories, “I Wish I Were a Butterfly,” by James Howe and “Butterfly House,” by Eve Bunting. After the story, the youngsters can participate in a fun craft project and expand their knowledge on the exciting lives of baby animals.
“Learning about butterflies is very interesting for young children," comments naturalist Jody Sperduto. “They learn how the beautiful butterflies we see flying in the air are transformed from the fuzzy caterpillars we see crawling on the ground.”
Animal Stories for Preschoolers is for children ages 3 to 5. Cost is $2.00 per Green Bay resident or Friends member and $3.00 per non-resident. Pre-registration is required by calling (920) 391-3671.
