Anglers Insight Marketing LLC™ (AIM) announced that the AIM Pro Walleye Series™ tournament will be coming to Green Bay on July 2 – 4, 2009.

Anglers Insight Marketing™ (AIM) will conduct a series of four Pro-Am walleye fishing tournaments in 2009: the AIM Pro Walleye Series™. Each tournament will host fields of 100 of the top walleye fishing Professionals and 100 Co-anglers.

AIM is pleased to announce that the July 2009 tournament will be held in Green Bay, Wisconsin. This AIM Pro Walleye Series™ event will be held July 2 - 4, 2009. The tournament will be held in conjunction with the “Fire Over The Fox” Fourth of July Celebration, a large regional festival that annually attracts as many as 100,000 visitors.

Rick Pruski is the Director of Event Pro, the organization that plans the annual “Fire Over The Fox” events. Rick welcomes the AIM Pro Walleye Series™ to Green Bay and is excited about adding this professional competitive event to the schedule. Green Bay is a diverse fishery offering a bountiful walleye population. AIM Pro Anglers will have the options of structure fishing and open water trolling over hundreds of square miles of Lake Michigan. The Green Bay area will be recognized as a prime destination for trophy walleyes and multi-species angling.”

The AIM Pro Walleye Series™ tournaments will all be three day events. The full field of 100 boats (Professionals and Co-anglers) will fish the first two days. The Professional provides the boat and all the fishing tackle and bait for the day. Each day the Co-angler will be paired with a different Professional and have the opportunity to learn “secret” techniques. The top 50% of the Professionals – based on cumulative weight over the first two days – will fish the third day of the tournament. These Pros will be paired with Co-anglers selected by random drawing.

The AIM Pro Walleye Series™ tournaments are unique because of the use of the exclusive AIM Catch-Record-Release™ format. This format requires the anglers to take a digital photo of each fish on the Official AIM Judge® ruler. These photos are used to confirm the lengths recorded on the official daily scorecards. A second photo of the walleye is then taken with one of the anglers holding the fish, and the walleye is then immediately released to fight again!

The daily weigh-in program starts at 4:00 PM as the teams return to the Metro Boat Launch on Bay Beach Road. The anglers will then drive to the weigh-in stage, right in the center of the “Fire Over The Fox” grounds in downtown Green Bay. The stage show starts daily at 5:00 PM and will feature angler interviews, displays of photos and action videos. Fans are encouraged to come early to meet their favorite fishing Pros and get autographs, plus view the tournament boats up-close.

Fans can also follow the action during the day by logging on to www.aimfishing.com. The AIM film crew will be continually uploading live video coverage and photos throughout the day. The weigh-in will also be displayed live on the AIM site, and the Live Leaderboard will update as every Pro Angler crosses the stage.
