GriefShare Offered to the Local Community
Any community member who has experienced the death of a family member or close friend is invited to register for the 8 week GriefShare Series starting July 9, 2009. There are two Series from which you may choose Series 1 GriefShare: Spouse Loss which meets from 9:30 a.m. 12 noon and is specifically for the surviving spouse or significant other. Series 2 GriefShare for Teens and Adults is for the loss of any family member or close friend (but those individuals unable to attend the day time session for Spouse Loss are also welcome) meets from 6:30 9 p.m.
All GriefShare sessions are held at Central Assembly of God, 831 Schoen St, Green Bay, WI and are open to any community member regardless of whether your bereavement experience is recent or not so recent. Each group is led by individuals who have personal experience with the grief and mourning process and are trained in facilitating a GriefShare support group. Childcare is not available
GriefShare Segment Two continues during July and August, the remaining GriefShare Sessions of 7 - 13, beginning on July 9 and will continue through August 27, 2009. The $40 registration cost includes the workbook and "Through a Season of Grief" Devotional. Partial Scholarships are available and preregistration is requested at (920) 737-2790.

The Uniqueness of Grief, Gods Prescription for Grief, Stuck in Grief or Moving On, Top 20 Lessons of Grief and Heaven. The GriefShare program features Christ centered, non-denominational, biblical teaching. Each weekly session is self contained so you may begin attending at any time in the series and find encouragement, comfort and help but for ultimate healing it is best to attend every session for an entire series of all DVDs. Each DVD seminar features nationally respected grief experts and real-life stories of people, followed by a small group discussion about what was seen on the DVD. All DVDs are closed captioned for the hearing impaired or deaf group members.
No matter the cause of your loved ones death; this is an opportunity to be around people who understand what you are feeling. You will learn valuable information about facing your new normal in life and renewing your hope for the future.
