High Cliff State Park will be offering a three part children’s summer interpretive series starting in June.  The series includes interpretive hikes, games, and crafts focused on teaching children about our natural environment.

The programs are developed for children between the ages of 5 and 10 years old.  Each program is three days long and has a morning or afternoon session available.  The morning session is 10am to noon, and the afternoon session is from 1pm to 3pm.  There is no cost to attend the programs, but a park vehicle admission sticker is mandatory.  Adult chaperones must be present with the children during the programs.

The first program is Our Planet Earth on June 30th, July 1st and 2nd.  This program will focus on Earth history, geology, and plants that can be found in High Cliff.  The second program is Wondrous Waters on July 14th,15th, and 16th.  Children will play and learn during this three day interpretation series focused on our water resources including ponds, lakes, and streams.  The third program is Animals Around Us on August 4th, 5th, and 6th.  This series will teach about the animals we find on the ground, in the air, and in the water.

Everyone is welcome to come for all three days or as many as they like.  Preregistration is encouraged, but not mandatory.  Find more information at High Cliff State Park or online at www.friendsofhighcliff.org. Please come dressed for the weather and be prepared for some outdoor hiking.  Contact Josh Bray at 920-989-1106 with any questions.
