Ready to Take a Dip on

Throw on a pair of waders, grab a dip net and see what you can find in the pond. “This is a great way for children to discover the creatures hidden in water,” said naturalist Kim Diedrich. “This is a fun program that keeps children engaged.”
This program is open to children, ages 6 and older. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Cost is $2 per Green Bay resident or Friends member and $3 per non-resident. Space is limited and pre-registration is required by calling (920) 391-3671.

The Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary is a 700-acre urban wildlife refuge featuring live animal exhibits, educational displays, miles of hiking, skiing and walking trails and various wildlife viewing opportunities. There is no admission charge for the Sanctuary, which is open to the public daily from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. mid-April through mid-September and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. mid-September through mid-April, with nature trails closing at 4:30 p.m. year-round. The Sanctuary is located at 1660 East Shore Drive on Green Bay’s east side across from Bay Beach Amusement Park.
