Become a detective to search and capture spiders hidden throughout the trails. Join Matt Welter, Curator of Education from the Neville Public Museum, for a
Spider Hike at Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary on
Saturday, July 11 at 10:30 a.m.
Participants will learn more about these amazing arachnids and meet some up close and personal. “Observers will hike the trails to catch different species of spiders that call Wisconsin home,” explained Kim Diedrich, chief naturalist at the Sanctuary. “Participants can also bring in spiders from home and Matt will help you identify them during the hike.”
Participants should come dressed for the weather and ready to hike. This program is open to all people. The cost of the program is $2 per Green Bay resident or Friends member and $3 per non-resident. Space is limited and pre-registration is required by calling (920) 391-3671.
