The 26th annual German Fest, presented by the Manitowoc County Historical Society will be held on Saturday, July 11th from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  This year’s event promises to be a great celebration of Manitowoc County’s cultural heritage.  This popular family event at Pinecrest Historical Village will feature music, fun and activities for all ages.

As always, German Fest features great German music and dance.  Die Tiroler Musikanten will play from 1:00 to 4:00 and a special evening dance with the Jerry Schneider Band will be held in the beautiful Nennig Dance Pavilion from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Bratwurst, sauerkraut, desserts and much more will be served.  Soda and water will be available and, of course, the beer garden will be open serving German and domestic beers.

While visiting Pinecrest, learn traditional crafts from our costumed building hosts.  Interpreters will be demonstrating wool spinning, blacksmithing, wood stove cooking, and much more.  The Manitowoc Public Library will also present German folktales at 3:30 pm in the Shadyside School.

Pinecrest Historical Village is located three miles west of I-43 on CTH JJ in Manitowoc.  For more information, please contact the Manitowoc County Historical Society at (920) 684-4445.
