For Men Only: Men Journeying through Grief
Affinity Visiting Nurses invites all men who have experienced the death of a loved one, whether recently or long ago, to join others in this ongoing opportunity to receive support for their grief. Although the experience of grief is certainly not limited to men alone, there are often differences in the way men express and deal with their grief, and the feelings that accompany it. Some of the messages men have received from our culture and how they are expected to act and respond to grief and loss can become stumbling blocks to their journey and healing through grief.
The evenings consist of a simple supper, grief information, resources, videos, and discussion led by Allen Borgwardt, Senior Lifestyle Consultant with CRL, and Dan Edwards, Chaplain with Affinity Visiting Nurses – Hospice. All are welcome to attend.
There is no fee to attend. Pre-registration is appreciated for meal planning purposes, but not required. To register or for additional information, please call Deb Kosmer toll free at 866-236-8500.
The next meeting will be held Wednesday evening, November 4, 6-8pm, at the Affinity Visiting Nurses office, 816 W. Winneconne Ave, Neenah (In the Fox Point Strip Mall)
