BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS OF NORTHEASTERN WISCONSIN

TO HOLD 17th ANNUAL TASTE OF THE TOWN

 

GREEN BAY, Wis.Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeastern Wisconsin will hold its 17th annual Taste of the Town event at the Radisson Hotel on Friday, November 6th, 2009Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and tickets are $75 per person. Last year, nearly 500 people gathered to sample delicious dishes prepared by the area’s finest caterers and served by local celebrities. 

An exciting premiere event starts at 5:45 pm. This already sold out pre-event will showcase the 6th annual Chef Showdown. This year, Larry London from Big Tomatoes will go head-to-head against Abbey Steffen from Republic Chophouse. Each chef will be given 35 minutes to prepare a delicious dish with a secret ingredient that will be revealed just before the event.

All proceeds from the Taste of the Town event support Big Brothers Big Sister of Northeastern Wisconsin to provide mentors for youth. Currently, the organization supports nearly 500 children and hopes to increase the number of children matched with a positive role model. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeastern Wisconsin is the premier youth mentoring organization in the area, serving Brown, Oconto and Door counties.
