CELEBRATION OF SUPPORT EVENT for MARY MAASS
The Celebration of Support Event for the Mary Maass Family, sponsored by the Community Benefit Tree, will be held on Friday, November 8, 2009 at the Checkered Flag in Appleton. The event will start at 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. There will be many fun activities and music will be provided by Nashville Pipeline.
On August 30, 2009, Mary passed away from bone cancer at the age of 58. She was diagnosed in 2003 with ovarian cancer. She fought bravely, but shortly after remission, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Then, in February, 2003, doctors diagnosed Mary with bone cancer. With over seven years of medical treatment, the family was left with not only having to cope with the loss of Mary, but large medical bills. This benefit will be used to help the family pay these medical bills.
