“Winnie the Pooh” comes to life onstage
Dare to Dream Theatre will present Winnie the Pooh November 12-15th at Dare to Dream Theatre, 630 N 10th St Manitowoc. A.A. Milne’s classic tales about Christopher Robin’s loveable teddy bear and friends in the Hundred Aker Wood is especially geared for families and young children.
Directed by Rachel Thuermer and Sebastian Palmer, along with Sandie Palmer as Music Director, young and old alike will be transported to the world of the 100 Aker Wood. Audiences will join Pooh (Donovan Waege), Piglet (Beth Iannitello), Christopher Robin (Addison Waege), Tigger (Julie Rohrer), Eeyore (Robert Irion), Rabbit (Moira Bender), Owl (Kimberly Irion), and their forest friends (Becca Iannitello, Sydney Fricke, Jessica Iannitello, Dallas Laurin, and George Metzen) as they prepare for the arrival of Kanga (Angelina Laurin) and Baby Roo (Katie Green) and the dreaded bathtub.
“This cute story speaks to the kid in all of us. Young children will recognize the familiar characters of Winnie the Pooh and his friends, while adults will be taken on a trip down memory lane. This play is all about friendship and that little piece of all of us that will always be a kid.” says Thuermer.
During this production, youth will not only appear onstage, but offstage as well. Karah Larson, Sam Schoepp and Sienna Schoepp will be on the backstage crew. Sebastian Palmer (age 15) is Assistant Director, Bryanna Schnell (age 17) is Stage Manager, and Holly Dewane (age 13) is Assistant Stage Manager.
The four performances will be performed at Dare to Dream Theatre, 634 N 10th St., Manitowoc, Wisconsin November 12, 13, & 14 at 6 p.m., and November 15 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $8 for Adults, $6 for youth.
