The Minneapolis Bridge Collapse: How Safe Do You Feel? The collapse of the bridge in Minneapolis has left people across the country in shock. Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty said the Minneapolis bridge was inspected by Minnesota officials in 2005 and 2006 and that no immediate structural problems were noted, only a few minor problems. However, the Star Tribune reported that the 40-year-old bridge was rated as "structurally deficient" two years ago and possibly in need of replacement according to the U.S. Department of Transportation's National Bridge Inventory database. What do you think about the bridge collapse? Do you feel safe driving across bridges in your area? What would you like to see done to prevent tragedies like this in the future? Green Bay Nativity Board There has been a lot of debate of Green Bay Alderman Chad Fradette's decision to place a Nativity scene at City Hall, as well as Mayor Jim Schmitt's decision to allow all religious symbols to be shown.
