    Separation of Church and State

This whole issue is ridiculous and it is a shame we have to sit and listen to it on nightly news.  First of all the people in Madison should mind their own business and secondly for the rest of the people who want to make a stink about it they should get a copy of the constitution and READ IT.

Separation of church and state was not intended to prohibit putting up a religious display on government property but is for the purpose of guaranting that the government does not pass laws that prohibit the freedom of worship or religion or to force people to believe in a specified way which is what happened in England and Europe in times past.  The founders here wanted to insure that a persons right to worship as they saw fit was guaranteed.

It has nothing to do about displaying plaques of the ten commandments in a courtroom or a nativity scene in a public building or any such thing.

If these folks dont like this then why dont they move to S. America or Africa or India or China or Russia and live there for a while - then when they return they would value our freedoms instead of making issues out of nothing.

I agree with you. I couldn't have said it better. There is only one God and I will continue to celebrate his birthday no matter what they say.
